Pick you up to Cairo Airport to fly to Aswan, Meet and assist at Aswan airport Start your day tour of Aswan Philae Temple and Obelisk, drive to visit the unfinished obelisk which offers unusual insights into the ancient Egyptian stone working techniques. The obelisk was abandoned because of the cracks appeared in the rock. If finished, it would one third larger than any ancient Egyptian obelisk ever erected.
Proceed to visit Aswan high dam, it is a rockfill dam built across the Nile in Aswan between 1960– 1970. To control the Nile floods, provide water for irrigation and generate hydroelectricity. Your guide will tell you the importance of the high dam in Egypt.
Continue with a romantic motorboat ride to Philae Temple Island. Where the Philae temples complex was dismantled and relocated to nearby Agilkia Island. It was part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, to protect the Nubian temples before the completion of the Aswan High Dam in 1970. Lastly, transfer back to the airport
